Thanks very much to YA blog The Book Owl for a lovely and perceptive review of Pretty On The Outside. I'm always happy to hear what people think of the books. And I'm very pleased to see a review from a US blog - let's try to spread the word on Young, Loaded & Fabulous stateside!
Back in April, I had a lovely long lunch with David Patrick Columbia, editor extraordinaire of the New York Social Diary. To those who aren't in the know, NYSD is a fab society blog all about NY's movers and shakers. David and I ate at the venerable Upper East Side institution Swifty's, where he exchanged 'hellos' with practically everyone who came in the door - including socialite-turned-clothing-designer Tori Burch. Totally exciting.
Check out my interview with David here.
What more could a YA writer hope for than to be interviewed on ELLE magazine's fabulous new books blog?
I had lunch with the lovely Candice Rainey, ELLE's deputy editor, at Bouchon in NY. Despite the delicious gourmet sandwiches and the temptation to gossip about NY media life, we managed to fit in this cool Q&A.
Thanks Candice!

I had a cosy e-chat with Jenny, creator of the awesome YA website Wondrous Reads, all about writing, shopping, and the mischief my friends and I used to get up to at our London school.

KISS & BREAK UP, aka Young, Loaded & Fabulous book 3, has been getting some great reviews in the UK (where it was published by Headline in April 2010). Take a look...
On April 5, 2010 at Soho House New York, my great US publishers Simon & Schuster hosted an awesome party for the US launch of Young, Loaded & Fabulous 1, PRETTY ON THE OUTSIDE.
The bash was loads of fun. Actors, socialites and pretty young things all came to munch hors d'oeuvres and sip martinis while having their books signed.
Oh, and check out the amazing red lips clutch bag that I'm gripping within an inch of its life - it was lent to me for the evening by the fantastic Lulu Guinness. If only I could have kept it...!
The New York Social Diary, blog of the rich and famous, covered the event too! (scroll down from top)
